I really like Tess Gerritsen's books but I have not read The Surgeon - will have to get it.

Haven't read Odd Thomas, either.  Have you read Watchers by Dean Koontz?

It's one of my favorite books!

John Grisham books are really good can't get enough of them and Clive Cussler, it's a favorite for hubby, myself and daughter.

I did read a while back Patriot Games. Seen the movie a lot of times, but the BOOK was so good.
Even seeing movie first, the book was a page turner and so glad I read it after seeing movie not before, was sorry when it was finished.

Just finished:

White Oleander - Janet Fitch

Still Life - Joy Fielding

Fielding writes good mysteries - but this was not one of her best.

Recently re-read John Irving's Cider House Rules, to prepare to see a play based on the novel.  Both the play and the book were so much better than the movie.

Just finished the first book in the Harry Potter series. It was good.
I loved the Harry Potters and so did my 92 year-old mother who read them as they were published and passed them along.  My parents were long-time Sci-Fi and Fantasy aficionados so all 5 of us (and our kids and grands) have continued the tradition.

I just re-read the Riverworld Trilogy by Philip Jose Farmer because I was thinking about "Uncle Phil" (a family connection by marriage).

I'm looking for a very unusual book. I read it about five years ago, and can't remember the name. It is about a small town, Steele, Illinois. If anyone knows the name, the author, or has it for sale, please let me know. My daughters' boyfriend ia wanting to read it for his phscology class. Huh Huh

That is a good one.  I find Picoult thought-provoking, always.
